I have been a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 1987. After graduating from the University of Toronto Law School, the most competitive and selective in Canada, I worked at a commercial litigation firm on Bay Street in Toronto. As a young lawyer I argued an appeal in the Ontario Court of Appeal.
I soon realized that living and working in Toronto was not my personal dream and in 1990 I moved to the Village of Russell, a 30 minute drive outside Ottawa, where I could watch the Castor River outside my office window and connect with my neighbours and clients while grocery shopping and picking up my mail.
I have the advantage of legal experience coupled with local knowledge. I use my legal knowledge and experience to help my clients achieve their goals and solve their legal problems in a variety of areas, including real estate, wills and estates, corporations, family law and mediation.
I work with families, individuals, professionals, business owners and entrepreneurs who want to provide for their future and the welfare of their families by creating plans and legal structures that will serve them now and in the future.
As a family mediator, I deal with issues and conflicts with sensitivity and discretion and assist the parties in negotiating a resolution. I am a member in good standing of Collaborative Practice Ottawa since its inception in 2000, I help those going through a separation to resolve disputes respectfully
